Do Vaccine Mandates Make Sense?

For the minds on the American Left, ideologies are blowing in the wind. Due to the nature of subscribing to subjective truth and morality, there is no consistency, and therefore, principled thought is an impossibility.

This reality is on prominent display now more than ever, since the emergence of Covid-19. What is obscenely obvious to some, is not so obvious to others. But application of critical analysis is crucial, and American citizens must work through this question: Do vaccine mandates make sense?

The narrative peddled by those pushing for mandatory vaccination masquerades as benevolent, claiming it’s for “public safety.”

So if the priority is public health, then why are healthcare workers and first responders being terminated en masse if they choose to forgo the vaccine? If this truly is a “pandemic,” does it make sense to fire people who provide all the “public safety” services?

At the start of the government-induced Covid crisis, the mainstream media and their Democrat allies adopted the term “Healthcare Heroes” for the doctors and nurses working on the frontlines. Nancy Pelosi, in voicing her support for an added $3 trillion of national debt, referenced these heroes in proposed legislation, deceptively titled the HEROES Act.

She appealed to sympathy, crying aloud the tragedy of job losses, shoring up her public image that she was a friend to working-class Americans: We thank you by making sure you have the job and the benefits and the rest that you have earned and not just giving you empty gratitude, but the gratitude of supporting you in the important roles that you play in our lives, with the assurance that you will have your job as you risk your life to save lives.”

But where is she now? Where are the other supporters of the HEROES Act, when frontline workers are now actually losing their jobs due to unlawful mandates? If the government prioritizes jobs and public health (as they claim to do), wouldn’t the logical response be medical freedom to ensure those concerns remain a priority?

When performing a cost-benefit analysis, weighing the statistical improbability of death by Covid (98.4% chance of survival) against widespread job losses and staffing shortages in crisis environments, vaccine mandates do not make sense.

But not only do they not make sense, they’re illegal.

Americans are losing their jobs because of unconstitutional government and corporate overreach. The stories are endless, and the common denominator is medical tyranny.

So who is to blame for the breach of our God-given freedoms? These tyrants indeed are vessels of wrath, fitted for destruction, but the American citizenry bears the burden of the impending communism.

Ben Franklin is quoted as saying “A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved.” His words encompass a modern dilemma; that Americans are on the brink of enslavement because of their own doing.

The public has forsaken the responsibility of being well-informed citizens, and tyranny has taken a foothold. “Enlighten the people generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like evil spirits at the dawn of day.”

So with what knowledge must one arm themselves? How does one become the well-informed citizen of whom Franklin and Jefferson spoke?

In the book of Ephesians, Paul wrote of donning “the whole armor of God.” Now, why does a soldier wear armor? It is a defensive action taken to withstand enemy attacks. But Paul does list one offensive tactic, and that is to wield “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Paul is informing the reader that truth, and particularly God’s truth is a weapon.

This serves as a call to action to study three crucial texts: the Bible, the Declaration, and the Constitution. The Bible is paramount, as it is both temporarily and eternally weighty. The wisdom of the Declaration, and the knowledge of the American founding charter is the weapon we must wield to defeat the lies and tragedy of despotism.
